La Storia del Mobile non può dimenticare la storia di un'importante realtà divenuta istituzione quale quella rappresentata dal Consorzio La Permanente Mobili, nato e fortemente voluto nel 1893 per iniziativa di un gruppo di qualificati artigiani di Cantù.

L'intento fu quello di unire le proprie forze per poter esporre al pubblico, allora soprattutto milanese, i propri prodotti in un unico grande edificio. Si poteva così offrire una visione globale della produzione mobiliera del contesto canturino, favorendone la vendita, ma non solo.

Era ed è rimasto un importante momento di aggregazione per i propri associati, utile al confronto e allo scambio di esperienze e conoscenze. Esperienze e conoscenze che hanno contribuito all’affermazione del mobile di Cantù in tutto il mondo.

Nel corso del Novecento, La Permanente Mobili di Cantù ha dato voce a una generazione di designer visionari, trasformando idee in icone senza tempo. Oggi, la riedizione della collezione in “Selettiva for All” rappresenta un dialogo tra epoche, celebrando l’artigianalità e la creatività che da sempre guidano la nostra storia.

Come disse Marcel Proust: “Il vero viaggio di scoperta non consiste nel cercare nuovi paesaggi, ma nell’avere nuovi occhi”. Ispirata a questa idea, la collezione invita a un viaggio di riscoperta che non si esaurisce nella ricerca dell’ignoto ma nella capacità di guardare con occhi nuovi ciò che è già presente. Ogni pezzo è un tributo ai designer che hanno partecipato ai concorsi, reinterpretato con una sensibilità contemporanea. Il risultato è un delicato equilibrio tra passato e presente, dove ogni prodotto rivela forme e dettagli di sorprendente attualità.

L’obiettivo non è quindi riproporre, ma evolvere: Selettiva for All è una collezione in cui convivono memoria e innovazione, perché l’eredità del design è viva e in costante trasformazione.
